The food chain!

Last night, we all was a bit surprise by a very tiny spider who was walking on the living romom wall... To be totally impartial and just, we had google it, before to decide of its lot... Yes we are not so crual either... the deal is poisonous: death penalty by flushing or not dangerous: back to the garden... I need to add... do you an idea what are they feefing... You will maybe remenbered an american movie called, "Joe's appartement" who was occupeied by a singing & dancing cockroach colony... And this king of cockroach occupy Australia too... You can meet one anywhere... in your living room, in the tram, in restaurant... top! Actually It's not really the spider fault if they are "a little bigger" than normal size... They just are adapted for cockroachs size... I love evolution....

Ps: For the moment I never heard one who was humming ABBA, but as soon as it happens I keep you in touch!!

Baywatch...

Sooo you already know I’m living at 10 minutes walk to Bondi beach but the thing what you don’t know in revenge, it’s also the shouting place of a TV serie like Baywatch reality show but unscripted!!
Its name: Bondi rescue!! (waouuuu sound fun right!! lol) To resume you can follow the day to day of cute lifeguard who try to save very cute surfers... YUMMMMY!
So yummy than last week, still on the same beach, they interceded with a surfer who was bitten by a big white shark who was fishing for fame...
Not a small bite... He has almost lost his hand in paddling... His hand was stuck by a bit of skin, but not connected any more.” (grosssss...)
I’m not very surprise the serie make a lot of audience with this king of rescues by top model in bikini... the 3rd season had averaging 1.31 million viewers!!
This said it’s the second shark attack in two days, no way I put a foot in the sea... even If it’s the Australian version of David Charvet who comes to rescue me...
To have a view of the show...

Huge dilemma...

After 15 days spent in Sydney with more than 10 rainning days... Two choises are obvious to me...
1- To resign myself to buy an umbrella...
or
2- To think about to stop to sing in the shower to eventually check if there are no cause and effect....

More precisions...

For thoses who asked me how I beared the scorching heat, those who was preoccupied to know If I wasn’t touch by the recent flood, or even more details about the bushfires, this message is for you!!

• Australia knows since more than 2 weeks, a heat wave never seen. But it’s in Melbourne and Adelaide area!! with a new record for february with 46,4°C in Melbourne...
• A good part of rest of the country are under the flood... Mainly in the western countries, the Queensland, and the north of the NSW especially in Bourke.
• And it’s Victoria state who is devasted by bushfiers since the 7th february, more than 200 people have died in the disaster, and without count some 1800 houses and 450 000 hectares of land which are ruined...
Some one else is still asking why I choose Sydney...?

Ps: c’est quite cute how you are concerned...

Previously in...

As I’m terribly late in my calender... Ineed to résume, cut, synthesize... Here it is a speed up version of my first week ans its imperatives:
- To sleep and have my rythm back (not so easy in a 6 beds room... with people who comeback to party at 6 a.m. and even worth to get up early without awake others... Did you have notive how much a suitcase zip is noisy...).
- To open a bank account but first step... to find the bank... especially when you’re living close to Chinatown where the english is not the main language... I was amazed to see how many chinese are living here!! we say one billion of chinese... are they include here? don’t think so... Anyway It’s quite cool ‘cause I love their foooooood!!
- To find a house.... pfffff so easy I just need to log in shareaccomodation or gumtree and that’s it!! bahhhh Actually it’s not soo easy... After the 10th calls... I’m starting to freak out... No flat with the possibbility to have my own room... I still decide to visit one just in case just have a look... and very close to the backpacker very convenient to move... A huge turk open the door, ask me to let my shoes outside, and make me the visit of the flat in talking with a deep and very slow voice... in switching on lights one by one..... scarryyyyyyyyy!!
- To send my resume&cover letters to agencies and log in all jobsearch websites...
- To decide to take, after 3 days of browsing, a real meal... just by myself... nice... but to wagamama!!
- To stop to let my computer anywhere...
- To meet my sister’s friend, anne- claire and after 5 days, since my arrival, to go to the beach!!

One thing is sure after this tiny week what I can tell you: sydney has some great potential!!! Not scarry anymore!!

Welcome to Australia!!

Here we are: 02/02/08... 2 minutes before to catch up my train and you are all here... ahhhhhh not so easy to say: I’m going to miss you and I love you so much!! So to all the people at the train station and the others who can make it: I ALREADY MISS YOU GUYS AND I LOVE YOU even from here!! I know I’m a cheezy girl... but like now it’s been told... I’m ready!!
Ready to told you all about my departure in the snow and my scorching arrival in Australia (ahhh yes it’s not canada neither USA finally for those who wouldn’t have follow... though for you, new reader, you already had a clue in the title... If it’s not wonderfull).
During my transit to Hong kong, I have been phone jacker by a 8 years old vietnamese boy.... oh my gosh... children are not anymore ingenuous.... but attention I need to make me clear... It wasn’t a kid who looks miserable... no no no! Not a chinese “Jamal Malik”!! It was one with a fresh Abercrombie jumper.... Like some people said: it’s starting well...!!
After 25 hours of stinky dinner trays and in the fabled eco class confort.... here I am in Australia!! To have a minimum of credibility throughout this blog I need to be completly honnest with you... It’s the moment where I freaked out... It took me around 2 hours to decide to get out of the airport... Told you I’m a sisi girl...But finally here I am!!
Here I come the backpacker joys, the delight moments of accomodation and job hunting!!
Welcome to sydney!!
